After reading this week’s posted content and listening to this week’s episode of the Fly on the Wall Project, carefully consider the following questions and choose one to answer in its entirety.
Each question may be answered by only 3 students. It is your responsibility to check all posts and select a question which has not already been answered by 3 of your peers. Please include the number of the question you are answering in the subject line of your post so the rest of the class may easily identify which questions have been answered.
Remember, you must have reviewed the week’s content in order to adequately participate in the Discussion Forum. In your post, incorporate the content into your response where applicable, and consider the principles of the Community Support System (CSS) model (e.g. flexibility; special needs, such as jail diversion; accountability; coordination) and the functions of Case Management (i.e. assessment, planning, linking, monitoring, evaluating) when posting your response.
Your initial response is due by end of the day Thursday 12/1/16.

- George would like to be able to visit his new friend Kimberly. Besides using the bus, name two community resources he might be able to use to meet with her. In lieu of resources for recreational transportation, what other options would you suggest for them?
- Bianca will now need to commute every day to a large city for her job. What resources might be available for her to save money on her commute? What would you suggest in terms of making the commute as easy on Bianca as possible while she is pregnant?
- For Mick, what types of resources/suggestions would you recommend to him to access his support group at the church? Name 2 of them.
- Give your thoughts on the conclusion of Michela’s story. What, if anything, could been done differently that would have led to a more positive outcome? What follow up, if any, should Derek provide in the next week following this meeting with her?
